Cookies

How the site uses cookies.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a site saves in the browser and reads again on later visits. They are used, for example, to remember that you signed in.

Which cookies this site uses

Necrologi360 uses technical cookies, needed for the site to work or for a service you asked for. The law does not require consent for these cookies and they are always active.

The other cookies (functional, analytics, marketing) are turned on only if you accept them in the banner: before your choice, and after a refusal, nothing that sets them is loaded. Today the site uses only the analytics cookies of Google Analytics; the visit statistics of obituary and business pages are instead made without cookies, as explained on the Privacy page.

You can accept all, reject all or choose by category, and change your choice at any time from the button with the cookie at the bottom right or from the one at the end of this page. Until you choose, it counts as a refusal.

List of cookies

Session (better-auth.session_token): keeps you signed in. It lasts up to 7 days and is renewed while you use the site; it is deleted when you sign out.

Sign-in with Google or Apple (better-auth.state): ties the return from Google or Apple to the request that started in your browser, so nobody else can use it. It lasts 5 minutes and is deleted as soon as you are signed in.

Area (zone): remembers the municipality you chose to see nearby obituaries. It holds only the identifier of the municipality, not your position. It lasts one year.

pages.cookies.sections.list.paragraphs.analytics

Email to confirm (email_to_verify): carries the email from the form to the page where you type the code. It lasts one hour.

Restricted access (site_access): remembers that you entered the password when the site is open by invitation only. It lasts 30 days.

Funeral home screens (monitor_screen, monitor_pairing): recognise the screen connected by a funeral home to show its obituaries. The first lasts one year, the second until the screen is connected.

App (app-embed): tells that a page of the panel is open inside the app, to show it without menus. It lasts until the app view is closed.

Staff (staff.session_token, previous_session): session of those who work on the site in the back office. They do not concern visitors.

Other data saved in the browser

Not to count the same visit twice, the browser keeps a mark of the pages already counted (sessionStorage), which disappears when the tab is closed.

Your choice about cookies stays in the browser (localStorage, key cookie-consent), so the banner does not ask again.

Services of others

Payments take place on Stripe's pages, which uses its own cookies for security and fraud prevention, according to its own policy.

If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, you go through their sign-in pages, which use their own cookies according to their own policies.

If you accept the analytics cookies the site loads Google Analytics, a Google service, which stores the cookies listed above to count visits, page views and where visitors come from. If you do not accept them it is not loaded.

Maps load their images from the servers of OpenStreetMap, with no cookies set by our site.

Links to social networks and other sites open pages whose cookies we do not control: their own policies apply.

How to manage them

You can delete or block cookies from your browser settings. Without technical cookies some features do not work: for example you cannot sign in.
